Programs

Stoneville Parks and Recreation offers sports and fitness programs for youth and adults. Our Fall season includes pickleball and youth & adult volleyball. Youth basketball and cheer begin in late Fall and run through Winter. Spring sports include youth soccer, baseball and softball. We believe in the value of team sports and their ability to promote a healthy lifestyle and teach personal accountability, teamwork, structure, discipline, decision making and community.

The town also believes that no child should be excluded from participating in team sports due to an inability to pay. That is why we offer scholarships to children whose families are unable afford the registration fee. In order to qualify for a scholarship the child’s parent or guardian must obtain a letter from Rockingham County DSS stating that the child is currently receiving assistance. The letter and a completed registration form must be delivered to Town Hall prior to any practices or games. Scholarships are only awarded for youth programs and are valid for an entire year of sporting programs from July 1 through June 30.

Stoneville Memorial Park

Located right in town at the intersection of Price Street and Priddy Road, this is the area's main community hub. It features lighted ball fields, a basketball court, a tennis court, walking trails, and picnic shelters.

Mayo River State Park - Deshazo Mill Access Location:

628 Deshazo Mill Road, Stoneville, NC
A beautiful, rugged state park access. It features walking trails leading right down to the river and offers the popular Fall Creek Falls. It's highly favored by locals for peaceful nature walks and photography.

Mayo River State Park - Anglin Mill Access Location:

108 Mayo Beach Road, Stoneville, NC
Another fantastic section of the Mayo River State Park, this access is perfect for scenic river views, picnicking, and launching a kayak or canoe for a day on the water.
